VBS is our week of day camp that's happening July 9-13 and is hosted by Children's Ministries. To learn more click here or to register a child, click here. If you would like to be a volunteer (it's fun! I always run the memory verse station) please sign up here.
In the afternoons, Student Ministries hosts Crossover events for students 'crossing over' from Children's programming into iConnect (preteens) and for preteens 'crossing over' into youth. All students going into grade 6+ are welcome! It's a great way to get to know new people, hang out with friends, and do fun events. We do Crossover events each afternoon except Friday (immediatly following VBS-3pm)
Here are the Crossover Event details for this summer:
- Monday, July 9: Icebreaker Games & Hot Dog Lunch: we provide lunch this day only, and it's followed by an afternoon of games and snacks to get to know one another better.
- Tuesday, July 10: Field Games: bring your own lunch! We'll eat and then head to the park across the street for field games (capture the flag, Quidditch, etc.). Birng water and wear sunscreen!
- Wednesday, July 11: Water Wars: bring your own lunch! This is the day of VBS where the kids play water games, so we'll be continuing the trend with water wars games at the field. Bring a swimsuit, towel, and a water gun if you have one!
- Thursday, July 12: Bowling at Lois Lanes: bring your own lunch! We will eat and then walk over to the bowling alley (just down the street on Gilley) for an afternoon of bowling. Cost is $5 for two games. Bring extra money for concession.
