Weekend Details:

Bus rides:

A BIG thanks to Paul, one of our youth parents, for driving the bus for us this year! Meet in the parking lot of the church at 2:30pm to pack up your luggage and find a good seat. We will leave as soon as everyone arrives. The bus will stop for dinner in Hope or Merritt, so bring a bagged dinner or money to buy it. Estimated arrival at camp is 8-9pm.

We pack up and leave after lunch on Monday. We will not stop for dinner on the way home, and anticipate a 6pm arrival time at the church.

Please pack light as we are using a different bus this year and luggage space is limited.

Chapel and Speakers:

As we planned the weekend, the youth pastors all realized we had never heard each other speak! This year, we are all preaching on Philippians. Each chapel session will feature a different youth pastor. We have each "claimed" a chapter to preach on (I'm talking about Ch. 3). The Monday session will feature a Youth Pastor Q&A.

I'm so excited to be speaking along with my friends from the other churches. Our theme is "Whatever :D" and is based on Philippians 1:27 - "Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel." Each of us will be focusing on a different passage through the lens of living as 'citizens of Heaven,' and what it means to rejoice in the Lord and view everything else in our lives as just "whatever" in comparison to Him.

Weekend Schedule & Activities:

On Friday night, we will have a chapel session, snack, and free time before lights out. When students arrive at camp, I will collect their phones and give cabin assignments.

On Saturday, we will have breakfast, chapel, small groups, free time, lunch, optional activities, more free time, dinner, chapel, a night game (at a nearby forest), and free time before lights out. Optional Activities this year are: paintball, tubing, gym (archery/climbing wall), and a hike. The last two are free. Sign up for activities on your registration form and be sure to include the cost in your camp payment. If you do not sign up for activities, enjoy free time at camp! The night game will also be off-site so please bring running shoes, long pants, and a flashlight.

On Sunday, we are skipping breakfast and doing brunch instead (yay sleeping in!), followed by chapel, small groups, field games, free time, dinner, chapel, Hootenany, and free time before lights out. There will likely be two field games (both at camp). This is also the evening where we do a "girls night" so ladies, bring a dress because we always dress up for dinner and take group photos after! The Hootenany, our talent show, will be hosted by Jake and CJ this year. Sign up to perform during the weekend. Last year was a blast!

On Monday, we have breakfast, chapel, pack up, and lunch before we depart. We will also take a group photo.

What to bring/not to bring:

Please bring clothes for the weekend, something warm if the weather is cold, runners, long pants and a flashlight for the night game, a sleeping bag/pillow, swimsuit/towel (tankini/one piece for ladies, shorts for guys), toiletries, games, and your BIBLE!!! Don't forget that last one, you wont be able to use your phone app.

Please do NOT bring prank supplies, drugs/alcohol, etc. and leave your tech at home (cameras are an exception). No iPods, phones, etc. are allowed as this is a weekend for friends and fellowship! I will bring up a safe and collect all tech items as students get off the bus. Parents, if you want your child to bring a phone to contact you when they arrive, students will be welcome to find me at any point during the weekend to use their phone to contact you. Otherwise, we are locking them up for safety - nobody has fun when someone sits in a corner texting or gets thrown in the water with tech in their pocket. Thanks for understanding!

I am SO excited for another great weekend. See you there!
