May Camp Retreat Info

Our annual May Camp retreat is coming up soon! Here are the details. Be sure to grab your registration form in the youth room or download one here.

Who: All grade 7-12 students

What: Long weekend retreat - includes meals, chapel time, activities, field games, outings, free time, swimming, a talent show, a night game, and more! Our theme is "Walk the Walk" and the youth pastors will be talking about what it means to walk this earth as Jesus did. Citizens and Saints will be leading worship for us this year.

When: May 15-18 - meet at the church on Friday May 15 at 3pm. The bus will leave at 3:30pm. We will return to the church on Monday May 18 at approx. 6pm.

Where: Green Bay Bible Camp in West Kelowna (1449 Green Bay Rd.)

Cost: $180 - additional cost to sign up for the Skate Park outing or tubing. Please note that we don't want cost to prohibit anyone from attending, so please contact Amanda if you are unable to pay the full fee and we will help you out!

Deadlines: Earlybird deadline is Sunday, April 19. Get your form and payment in by that date and get a free shirt! You can sign up until May 10, but no shirt and a higher fee.

What to bring: Bedding, clothes (including a coat, runners, and something for cool/rainy weather), swimwear (tankinis for girls and board shorts for guys), Bible, toiletries, games/activities, dinner for the bus ride up (or cash), etc. LADIES, be sure to bring a dress as we always do a 'girls night' for Sunday dinner and take some group photos!

What not to bring: alcohol, drugs (prescriptions are fine - contact Amanda to make arrangements), and electronics. We will be collecting all iPods, phones, etc. before students get off the bus and will keep them in a secure location during the weekend. If you need to contact your child during the weekend, contact Amanda so we can make phone use arrangements :)


Tentative Weekend Schedule:

Friday:
All churches travel to camp and arrive after dinner between 7-9pm - stopping in Merritt for dinner on the way
Free time to unpack and move into cabins or Lodge rooms
Chapel time
Evening snack
Free time (quiet time is 11pm, but we can continue hanging out indoors until lights out)
Lights out 1pm

Saturday:
Breakfast

Free time & optional activities (if you didn't sign up for an activity keep in mind that the field and waterfront are always available for your use - including kayaks and canoes!)
