Crossover Week 2016

Afternoon events taking place after VBS program

For students going into grades 6-10

Each day after VBS (July 4-8) we run Crossover events for those going into Grades 6-10 to help students "cross over" from kids ministry to preteens, and from preteens to youth! This week-long afternoon program is FREE! Just be sure to bring your signed waiver, lunch, and any other needed supplies with you. Register in advance or register at the door - we have unlimited spaces for most events and would love for you to join us!

Crossover begins each day right after VBS is done, but is a separate program. This program is open to those who attend or volunteer for VBS and also for those who don't! As long as you are going into grades 6-10, you are welcome to join us.

What happens during Crossover Week?
**Concession will be open** Tuesday and Wednesday during lunch, Friday all afternoon - proceeds go to our sponsor children

Monday July 4 - Hot Dog Lunch & Icebreaker Games (12:15-3pm)

·        Lunch provided this day only - vegetarian options available

·        Indoor "get to know you" icebreaker games

Tuesday July 5 - Field Games (12:15-3pm)

·        Bring a bagged lunch - we will eat in the youth room before heading to the park. Concession is also open each day during lunch if you would like to buy a drink or snacks (proceeds go to VBS sponsor children)

·        We have lots of field games planned at McLean Park across the street - join us for a great day outdoors!

·        Bring sunscreen, water, running shoes, comfy clothes, and lunch

Wednesday July 6 - Paint Wars (12:15-3pm)

·        White shirts + pools of paint + teams = PAINT WARS! Join us for lots of team games that involve flinging (or dumping) paint on each other at the park!

·        Bring a bagged lunch, water, sunscreen, white shirt, shoes/shorts that can get dirty, clean change of clothes, and towel

·        Parents! Tempera paint does wash out of hair and skin but clothes may be stained. We will hose your children off as best as we can and they will be able to get changed at the church to keep your car clean. Instructions will be provided so they can preserve their painted shirt.

Thursday July 7 - Watermania Day (12:15-3:30pm **note longer time**)

·        We are heading to Watermania! We have rented a bus to take all students to the pool and back to the church afterwards.

·        Bring bagged lunch, towel, bathing suit, change of clothes

·        We will be eating lunch on the bus this day - meet in the youth room but don't eat as we will board the bus right away!

Friday July 8 - Movie Day (12:15-3pm)

·        This is clean up day for VBS (adult volunteers only), but we will put on a movie for students who want to relax on their last day of VBS/Crossover.

·        Bring a bagged lunch, a G or PG movie if you have one (we will take a vote), and money for concession as we will run it all afternoon selling snacks and drinks (proceeds go to sponsor child)
